There are many fine jazz guitarists whose music appeals to me. Some of these are listed in this section. In each case there is a short biography followed by a selected discography neither of which is intended to be in any way complete. The majority of the recordings selected are, or have been, available in CD format.


Johnny Smith

In August 2003 Johnny Smith was the guest of honour at the North Wales International Jazz Guitar Festival held in Wrexham. It was the first visit to the UK by Johnny for 26 years. I counted myself as very fortunate in being able to attend the event as did my friend Dr Friedhelm Rump who has contributed this article and photographs.
